Maintenance and Care for Pots
Proper care extends the life of your cookware and maintains optimal cooking performance:
Stainless Steel Maintenance#
Allow pots to cool slightly before cleaning to prevent warping
Soak to release stuck-on food rather than scrubbing with abrasives
Use Bar Keepers Friend or similar cleansers for stubborn stains or discoloration
Remove water spots with vinegar solution if desired
Season occasionally with oil for improved food release
Enameled Cast Iron Care#
Allow to cool before immersing in water to prevent thermal shock
Use nylon or silicone scrapers rather than metal utensils
Soak with warm water to release stuck-on food
Avoid abrasive cleaners that might damage enamel
Store with paper towel or cushioning to protect edges if stacking

Polish with commercial copper cleaner or lemon juice and salt mixture when desired
Dry thoroughly to prevent water spots
Apply food-grade mineral oil to unpolished areas if preferred
